Traditional hand-sewn kilts
individually crafted in the West Highlands of Scotland.
From piper to kiltmaker
My kilt journey began in California when I joined a pipe band who outfitted me in a mismatched kilt, so I decided to make my own! I learned kiltmaking from the premier kiltmaker in North America, Elsie Steuhmeyer, a wonderful Scottish woman who apprenticed with Thomas Gordon & Sons in Glasgow after WWII. Since then I’ve made over 100 kilts, and now I’m living in the beautiful West Highlands of Scotland, ready to make YOUR heirloom kilt, stitch by stitch. —Jennifer Febré [but my friends call me Jenny]

You will need a measuring tape! There are just 3 simple measurements needed:
Waist: Measure at the bellybutton snugly
Hips: Measure at the largest part of your…ahem…hip area
Length: Measure from your bellybutton to the top of your kneecap without bending down to look. It’s best to have help with this one.
